Grabbatt, THE FIRST PORTABLE BATTERY FOR GOOGLE HOME MINI & AMAZON'S ECHO DOT
CONNECT GOOGLE HOME MINI TO THE IPHONE HOTSPOT WHEN NOT AT HOME.
Connect you Google Home Mini to the hotspot of a iPhone with a second device (iPad). It's important that on both devices the Google Home app is installed.
A. FIRST SETUP A PERSONAL HOTSPOT ON YOUR IPHONE.
A Personal Hotspot lets you share the cellular data connection of your iPhone (Wi-Fi + Cellular) when you don't have access to a Wi-Fi network.
Setup personal Hotspot (iPhone).
Go to Settings > Cellular
Tap Personal Hotspot, then tap the slider to turn it on.
If you don't see the option for Personal Hotspot, contact your carrier to make sure that you can use Personal Hotspot with your plan.
B. CONNECT YOU SECOND DEVICE (IPAD) TO THE PERSONAL HOTSPOT WI-FI FROM YOUR IPHONE.
You can connect to a Personal Hotspot using the Wi-Fi settings of your tablet.
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and look for your iPhone hotspot in the list.
Then tap the Wi-Fi network to join. If prompted, enter the password for your Personal Hotspot.
When you connect a device to your Personal Hotspot, the status bar on your iPhone turns blue and shows how many devices have joined. The number of devices that can join your Personal Hotspot at one time depends on your carrier and iPhone model. If other devices have joined your Personal Hotspot using Wi-Fi, you can use only cellular data to connect to the Internet from the host device.
C. CONNECT YOUR GOOGLE HOME MINI TO THE HOTSPOT OF YOUR IPHONE.
Make sure that your tablet is connected to the same iPhone hotspot (see above the instruction under B for how to connect).
Open the Google Home app.
Scroll to find the device card for the Google Home Mini that you want to set up on a new network and tab on: Gear Icon.
Follow the setup steps to set up your device on a new network (when connected to another network then disconect first by clicking on forget and connect then with the Hotspot of your phone).
Tap the hotspot Wi-Fi network to join. If prompted, enter the W-iFi password of the Personal Hotspot
Now your Google Home Mini and your second device (tablet) ar now connencted to the Hotspot of your iPhone. You can control your Google Home mini with the Google Home app on your second device (tablet) or by voice control.
